An online workshp on Opportunities for Research and Innovation using the facilities of SAIF-Guwahati will be organised by the Department of Instrumentation & USIC, Gauhati University, from 14 February 2022 to 23 February 2022, in collaboration with Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. All the lectures will be presented by experts and researchers from various fields.   This workshop will address all the aspects, from basic theory, instrumentation, experiment and analysis of the facilities present in SAIF, Gauhati University.

There will be extensive live interactive virtual hands-on sessions for each experimental technique mostly from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, which will cover topics from sample preparation to data analysis.

It is meant for young students, researchers and faculty members of colleges, universities & research institutes.

Opportunity to learn and refresh knowledge about these techniques and incorporate these knowledge and SAIF facilities in their research activities.

The workshop is stretched to nine days and scheduled in such a way that the participants can perform their usual academic activities and duties along with the workshop.

One sample will be allowed for free analysis in any of the instruments of choice of the participant (for CAT-I & CAT-II only).

Lectures and hands on session will be on familiarization and scope on Existing facilities (Powder XRD, XRF, TGA, DSC, SC-XRD).

A 3-days webinar on RF Communication was organized by the Department of Instrumentation & USIC, Gauhati University, from 23-25 January 2023. The objective of the webinar was to give an overview of Radiofrequency Communication techniques

An online interaction session will be organized by the Department of Instrumentation & USIC, Gauhati University, on 07 August 2021. The interaction will be with Dhrubajyoti Sarma. The session will be focused on adopting chip designing as a career.

A Science Motivation Camp will be organised by the Department of Instrumentation & USIC, Gauhati University on 30 January 2021 at Dharapur Higher Secondary School.

An online lecture session will be organized by the Department of Instrumentation & USIC, Gauhati University, on 15 July 2021. The lecture will be delivered by Prof. Swaminathan Pichai Iyer. The topic of his lecture is Famous Accidents due to Software Failure in Hard Real Time Systems.

The Eighth School on System Design Using Microcontroller will be organised by the Department of Instrumentation & USIC, Gauhati University from 16 - 21 May 2022
